George McDonald died last Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock after an illness of several months from the dread disease consumption. The funeral was held at the M.E. church at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. Interment in the Kennard cemetery. Two brothers, Jeff and Dow McDonald, were able to be present, other relatives, on account of sickness, being unable to attend the funeral. The funeral sermon by Rev. T. S. Watson was touching and was pronounced by many who listened to the discourse as one of the best funeral sermons ever delivered in Kennard.
