#1-15 Sept., 1902 - The Pilot - Christ Ruwe

Christ Ruwe, one of the wealthiest and most prominent farmers of this vicinity died at his home near Fontanelle at 11 o’clock last Thursday night. The deceased was 73 years of age, and a pioneer settler of Washington county. About four years ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis and had been confined to the house almost constantly since that time. The widow survives him and also a large family of children and grandchildren. The funeral was held from his late home at 12 o’clock yesterday, Rev. Sick conducting the services.

Chris Ruwe, one of the community’s wealthiest farmers, died at his home near Fontanelle last Thursday. He was 73 years of age and a pioneer settler of this county. Deceased was an uncle of Henry Ruwe of this city.-Blair Courier.
