Mrs. Michaelsen died last Thursday at the home of her son Wm. Michaelsen, who lives southeast of Kennard. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon, and interment made in the German cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Michaelsen came to Nebraska in 1872, being among the pioneers of the county. She was over 77 years old and her husband, who still survives her, is past 80. For a number of years they have lived with their son. Mrs. Michaelsen has been sick for the past two months, and suffered much. She leaves a wide circle of friends and acquaintances to mourn the finish of a long and useful life filled with good deeds.
