Laura V. Jenkins, 94, of Omaha died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001 in Omaha.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Laura Vivian (Schmidt) Jenkins was born May 23, 1906 in Washington County to William and Bertha Schmidt. She lived in Fort Calhoun, at Highland Towers in south Omaha, and at Mercy Care Center in Omaha.

Her hobbies included taking rides, reading, playing piano, drinking coffee, visiting with family and friends, and going to horse races.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Eleanor and Joe Sacco of Long Beach, Calif., Madeline and Ed Kohlbeck of Omaha, a brother, Arnold "Tiny" Schmidt of Fort Calhoun, a daughter-in-lsw, Sandy Wilson of Council Bluffs,Iowa, six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Wilson.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral home in Fort Calhoun is in charge of arrangements.
