Mary Jenkins, 47, died Sunday, July 18, 1999, at her home in Omaha.

Services were Wednesday, July 21, at Christ the King Church in Omaha.

Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha.

Mary Jenkins was born July 26, 1951 to Al and margaret Meidlinger in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband, John Jenkins; her son, Mark, and daughter, Amy, all of Omaha; parents, Margaret Meidlinger and Al Meidlinger, both of Council Bluffs; brothers and their spouses, Steve and Sue Meidlinger of Council Bluffs, Iowa; John and Jane Meidlinger of Grand Island; Joseph and Kathy Meidlinger of Fairfield, Iowa; Mark and Bev Meidlinger of Lebanon; and Peter and Isabella of Springfield, Mo.; sisters and their spouses, Sue and Clark Fry of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and Theresa and Jay Bruns of Cincinnati, Ohio; parents-in-law, David and Dorothy Jenkins of Arlington; sisters-in-law, Carla Jenkins of Omaha; Cathy Bates of Arlington; Mrs. Jess (Ellen) Cross of Ashley; and Mrs. Ken (Elaine) Orvis of Ridgeway, Colo.; brothers-in-law, Jerrold Jenkins of Fremont; and Dan and his wife, Lili Jenkins of North Bend; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, John, Jr.

Memorials are suggested to St. Cecelia's Elementary School or the Nebraska Division of the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association Great Plains Region.

John A. Gentleman Westside Chapel in Omaha was in charge of arrangements.
