18 Feb., 1901 - The Pilot - Darwin Bowes

The burial of Darwin Bowes took place this morning from Pierce’s undertaking rooms. Mr. Bowes was a resident of this city until fifteen years ago when he moved to Buffalo Gap, South Dakota. While living here he worked on the C. St. P.M. & O. road and helped build the Missouri river bridge. He was well and favorably known here, being a brother-in-law of John Maguire of Benson. His death occurred last Friday from a carbuncle, which had given him a great deal of trouble. He was a member of the M.W.A. lodge who had charge of the services this morning. A wife and eight children are left to mourn for a devoted husband and father.
