| 14 Feb., 1901 - The Pilot - J. J. Brown
The death of J. J. Brown occurred in Omaha last week and the funeral took place Monday afternoon at the family residence. Mr. Brown will be remembered by old settlers of this county, being a property owner in this city in the early days. At one time he owned the present site of The Pilot building, and on it was erected a frame building which he rented. He was an esteemed citizen of Omaha and he will be greatly missed.
