Word was received here the first of the week of the death of Mrs. Chas. Hurd of Naponee, Nebraska last Sunday at her home. Mrs. Hurd will be remembered as Miss Lena Tharp who was a resident of our city for many years, and has many relatives and friends in this county who will be pained to hear of her early demise. She will be remembered especially by members of the Baptist Church who associated with her in church work, and in this capacity she was very active. Her death was caused by pneumonia after only a short illness. She leaves a husband a five small children to mourn for a devoted wife and mother as well as a large number of relatives and friends.
