Died - Last Tuesday noon at the St. Joseph hospital, Omaha, Hans Jensen, who for many years has resided one and one half miles southeast of Orum. Mr. Hans Jensen was taken ill a week ago Wednesday, but not until later did his case become serious, then Drs. Perlee and Stewart were summoned, who immediately informed the patient that an operation was necessary, and on Monday he was taken to Omaha with the above results. The deceased was born in Denmark October 11, 1849. At the age of twenty one he was married to Miss Rasmina Rasmussen April 28, 1881. The couple came to Nebraska direct from the old country, settling on the farm where his family is at present. Three children, Chris, Hans, Jr. and Jens, were born to their union, all of whom are living and farming part of the deceased’s 480 acre farm. The remains were laid to rest in the Danish Lutheran cemetery Thursday afternoon.
