#1-15 Sept., 1909 - The Pilot (Herman) - Alice Ethyl King

The funeral service of the late Alice King, who died Sunday, September 5th, was held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the Baptist church, and was conducted by S.E. Bishop, pastor. Alice Ethyl King was born March 14th, 1894, and died September 5th, 1909.

#2-4 Apr., 1904 - The Pilot - Mrs. Tom King

The funeral of Mrs. Tom King took place from the home in northeast Blair yesterday afternoon at 2:30. Three children born last week, all died, and the mother succumbed to an attack of blood poison. A large number of friends and relatives were present at the funeral, and accompanied the remains to their last resting place. The Pilot joins with them in extending sympathy to the bereaved husband who is left with three little motherless children.

Note: Alice is the daughter of Elza (Sr.) and Laura King who are buried in the Herman, Nebraska Cemetery.
