#2-14 July, 1909 - The Pilot - John Miller

John Miller, a man nearly 80 years old, who has been doing the freighting for Admah store for years, was found lying by the side of the road about four miles out from Herman Monday afternoon in a dying condition. He was picked up and taken to the home of Frank Erickson, where he died without regaining consciousness. The team was nearby and had not run away, and it is thought that the old man’s heart failed him and he fell off the wagon.

Note: The Vig Files at the Danish American Archives has his death date recoreded as July 10, 1909 and that he is buried in the New England Cemetery in Washington County, Nebraska.
