After much suffering, Mr. Carl Schmidt passed quietly away last Wednesday evening. Mr. Schmidt was a good and kind husband and father, and was well liked by all who knew him. He was a member of several different lodges, including the Woodmen of the World, the Masons, Knights of Pythias and German Verein. Interment was made in the Calhoun cemetery, Rev. Hauck of Omaha officiating. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his loss, who have the sympathy of their many friends in their bereavement.
