20 May, 1907 - The Pilot - Marian (Lauritsen) Beaver

It is with deep sadness and sympathy we chronicle the death of Mrs. Peter Beaver of this place, which occurred Tuesday night. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Beaver on Friday night last, but only lived a short time, burial taking place Sunday. Mrs. Beaver received all the attention that trained medical skill could render, there being a trained nurse and Doctors Pruner of this place and Henry of Omaha in attendance, but all to no avail. Mrs. Beaver was born the 19th day of February, 1868, and passed away May 14, 1907, aged 39 years. Her maiden name was Marian Lauritsen, and was married to Mr. Beaver Oct. 11, 1893. There were born to this union six children, three living, two boys and one girl, and three small children now sleep beside their beloved mother in the City of the Dead. The funeral services were held at the Danish Lutheran church Thursday afternoon at one o’clock, Rev. Anderson of Blair officiating. The flowers were many and beautiful, but not more beautiful than the face that rested so peacefully among them. Beautiful in life, beautiful in death, but more beautiful in the glorious resurrection morn. Mrs. Beaver carried $500 insurance in the Danish Sisterhood Society. Both the Danish Brotherhood and Sisterhood members of the two orders were well represented, six members of the Sisterhood acting as pallbearers. The remains were followed to the Kennard cemetery by a large concourse of sympathizing friends and relatives.
