15 Apr., 1907 - The Pilot - Angeline Closson Burgess

Mrs. Angeline Burgess, who came from Michigan the middle of February to visit her daughter, Mrs. Joe Harvey, died at four o’clock Saturday morning, the 6th, at the age of 82 years, four months and six days. Mrs. Burgess was born in New York, but moved to Michigan in an early day. Her first marriage was to Amasa Closson and of five children born to the union, three are still living, Mrs. Joe Harvey, Mrs. Abner Harlow and John Closson. After the death of her husband, she married Hiram Burgess and of the five children born to this union, two survive her, Mrs. Belle Howard and Miss Blanche Burgess. The funeral was held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Harvey, Rev. E. C. Smith of Omaha officiating. The body was laid at rest in the Rose Hill cemetery. Mrs. Burgess lived a long and useful life and the great monument to her memory is found in the fact that she lived not in vain.
