We learn of the death of Mr. W. H. Whitney over at Arlington from Tom Kelly of this city. Mr. Kelly remembers Mr. Whitney as the first man to run an engine on the M & O Ry. He will be well remembered by the old timers as a first class citizen. His age is in the neighborhood of 82 years. He quit the road some twenty years ago since which time he has lived a quiet life in the west apart of the county.
