MASTER CARL ROSACKER

Master Carl Rosacker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rosacker, was born Aug. 14, 1900, and buried in the Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska cemetery Aug. 7. He was a bright, active boy that we shall miss very much as he was often our visitor and sent for us soon after he was compelled to remain in bed. For a time there were symptoms of diphtheria that caused a quarantine for a few days, much to the inconvenience of the family, but we are glad to say the disease failed to appear. Rev. Hillman preached the sermon, assisted by the choir. The pallbearers were six of his schoolmates, Hans and Peter Schmidt, John and Fred Schraeder, Robert Powell and Willie Bolin, and regardless of the heat and busy times there was a large attendance, some people coming from Blair and Omaha. We have an average of about forty five school children in our city limits and the last death previous to this one among the school children inside the city was August, 1903, just lacking a few days of seven years.
