Jones, Michael Wayne

Age 69

Michael Wayne Jones passed away suddenly on a tennis court in Green Valley, AZ on Friday, January 15, where he was going for a low ball and a massive heart attack took him home to Glory. The Lord got ahold of Mike's heart 17 years ago when he had a heart attack and realized he could have died! If Mike could ask you one question he would want to know if it was game, set, match for you, do you know where you would go? He wants you to know Heaven is not a default....it is a place prepared for those who realize they are broken sinners....and have let Jesus Christ grab hold of their heart. Don't let another minute go by without deciding what you are going to do about Jesus. He's waiting at the door of your heart!

Mike was born in Denver, CO to Charles R. and M. Jeannine (DuVall) Jones. Mike graduated from Papillion High in 1969 and UNO in 1973. He worked all through college for the Post Office and in 1974, began his career as a US Postal Inspector. He retired in 2000, with 31 years of service with the P.O.

He was preceded in death by his Dad. Mike is survived by his wife, Sherri of Green Valley, AZ and Lake Okoboji, IA; daughters Moriah (Levi) Markwardt, Milford, IA and Evan (Jason) Lucas, Mesa, AZ; granddaughter Shai, Milford, IA; mother, Jeannine Jones; and sister, Susie (Bob) Henricksen, Blair, NE; niece, Heidi (Nathan) Prottsman...great nephew, Brody and nephew, Eric (Chelsea) Henricksen, Omaha, NE; and his beloved pup and hunting partner, Athena; along with many great friends and relatives.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be livestreamed Thursday, January 21st, at 12pm CST at efcgreenvalley.org.
