PIONEER GRANDMA PECK

Another one of the dear old pioneers of hard times and log cabin days has finished her work and gone to join husband and loved ones in the Great Beyond. In the early days in Omaha Dr. Peck and wife were among the most noted entertainers in the city. Governors, congressmen and eminent clergymen found it a delightful place to visit and of some of those early days pioneers still love to speak.

Grandma Peck was a lovable lady and noted for church work and deeds of charity. A few days ago one of her married granddaughters said: “Mr. Woods, grandma is nearly home, but, oh, how we shall miss her”. W. H. Woods.
