Last Thursday morning word was received in Herman accounting the passing away of Mrs. Peter Hansen, a resident of this county for the past twenty nine years, having settled with her husband at Kennard in 1881, immediately after coming to America. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Baptist church, conducted by the Danish minister of Blair, interment being made in the Herman cemetery. Miss Anna Marie Christensen as born in Bagely, Denmark August 27th, 1837, and died at Herman, Neb. Dec. 1st, 1910 at 73 years, 3 months and 3 days of age. May 30th, 1863 she was married to Peter Hansen and came to America in 1881 and settled with her husband at Kennard this county. She was the mother of seven children, five of which survive her, four sons and one daughter - Christ Jens P. and John Hansen of Herman, Hans P. Hansen of Colorado and Mrs. J. P. Rasmussen of Herman, Neb.
