Loren A. Hansen, age 72, a longtime resident of Chicago, IL passed away on January 13, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Monica McCue Hansen. Loren is also survived by his daughters, Kelly Hansen, and Elizabeth McGuire (Mike); a grandson, James McGuire; a sister, Virginia (Jim) Lee; a niece; and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Joan (Fred) Splittgerber.

Loren was born in Omaha on March 15, 1948, the son of Vera (Petersen) and Lawrence Hansen. He grew up on the family farm in Kennard, NE. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and received an MBA degree from Columbia University in New York. After a thirty-year career in the investment business, he retired from Stein Roe and Farnham Incorporated in Chicago as Executive Vice-President and Director of Equity Investments. Following his retirement, he served as a board member and investment advisor for the Owen L. Coon Foundation. He enjoyed all sports, travelling, and biking along Chicago's lakefront.
