#1-1 June, 1910 - The Tribune - Olaf N. Remington

O. N. Remington, an old time resident of Blair, died at his farm home near Tekamah, Neb. on Thursday, May 26, 1910 of pleurisy of the heart. Olaf N. Remington was born in Jernskog, Sweden Jan. 6, 1848, and came to Washington county in 1869. He was a resident to Grant township for twenty eight years. Mr. Remington had a national reputation as a breeder of purebred Poland China hogs and at the time of his death was the owner of possibly as good a herd as could be found in the United States. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, two daughters and three sons, all of whom live at Tekamah. The funeral was held Sunday at 10 o’clock, and interment made in Rose Hill cemetery.

#2-1 June, 1910 - The Pilot - Olaf Neise Remington

Several from here attended the funeral of Mr. O. N. Remington at Rose Hill Sunday afternoon. Mr. Remington formerly lived in this county on the farm now owned by H. P. Slocum, but later moved on a farm up near Tekamah where his death occurred last Friday. Mr. Remington was extensively engaged in raising Poland China hogs.
