#2-25 May, 1910 - The Pilot - Dorothea Overgaard

Fremont, Neb., May 18 - Succumbing to a dropsical affection after an illness of four months, Mrs. Dorothea Overgaard, the mother of Dr. A. P. Overgaard, died this morning at the latter’s home in Fremont. Mrs. Overgaard was seventy seven years of age. She was born in Denmark. In 1872 she and her husband located at Kennard. On the death of Mr. Overgaard thirteen years ago Mrs. Overgaard came to Fremont to make her home with her son - Lincoln News. Funeral was held at the Danish church and was largely attended. Interment in Kennard cemetery. We deeply sympathize with the son, Dr. A. P. Overgaard, in the loss of a most devoted, loving and Christian mother.

Note: The Vig notes at the Danish American Archives has her maiden name recorded as Jensen.
