December 14, 1934 - January 19, 2021

Age 86, of Omaha. Steve is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia; children, Marlene (Robert) Schwarzlander of Kennard, NE, Gary (Chris) Maji of Denver, CO, Bill (Catherine) Maji of Evanston, IL. A Grandfather to 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Steven Maji.

Steve spent his career as an Engineer with Peoples Natural Gas before starting GDT Inc. consulting with Russ Pargett until his retirement. Steve had a servant heart and was very active in the Omaha community; volunteering his time with the Franklin School Reading Program in North Omaha, Omaha Loveland Golden K's Kiwanis Club in various capacities, and St. Roberts Catholic Church Men's Choir.

Steve invested his time in his relationships and is known to many as a friend, mentor, confidant, Husker/Mav Hockey fan, and someone who always wore his heart on his sleeve. His life was lived fully; encouraging his children and grandchildren, fishing trips with friends, and traveling to his native Hungary. His love for family was his guiding light, but it did not compare to the love he held for his wife, Pat, who cared for him until the end.

A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church on Saturday, February 13th at 10am. Memorials to the Father Shane Education Endowment, K Kids Club at Franklin Elementary School, or the Omaha Golden Kiwanis Club
