Stricklett Dies At Plattsmouth

Charles (Tobe) Stricklett died Sunday in Plattsmouth, Nebraska and funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday (today) at the First Christian Church with Rev. Ralph Kersey officiating. The Campbell Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements and burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Stricklett was born December 21, 1872 and lived all his life in Washington County until a year ago when he went to a Rest Home at Plattsmouth.

In 1895 he was married to Gertrude McCoy and three children were born to them. One son, Cecil (Brig)Stricklett lives in Denver. Two daughters, Marieta and Sidney Lee preceded their father in death and Mrs. Stricklett passed away on May 16, 1950.

Two sisters, Katherine Campbell of Blair and Mrs. Laura Cleaver of Missouri Valley, Iowa survive. Also a brother, Joe Stricklett, of Blair and five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. ~~~Obituary courtesy of the Nebraska Washington County Genealogical Society.
