Buried in Fort Calhoun Cemetery

13 Jan., 1921 - The Tribune - Dwight Stanley

Dwight Stanley, who was buried near his father and mother in the Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska cemetery January 8, 1921, was born probably four miles south of the cemetery nearly 21 years ago, and was the son of grandparents useful in church and neighborhood affairs. His three brothers and sister have all grown up among us and are useful people. There was a very large congregation in the Presbyterian church, in which his father had been an elder for fourteen years on the board with us up to the time of his death, and for many years was superintendent of the Coffman Sunday schools. The young man, as well as his parents, will surely be missed for a long time.

Rev. Calhoun of the United Presbyterian church of Omaha, and a quartet from Trinity Cathedral, Omaha, sang the anthems without piano music. The pallbearers were: Roland Smith of DeSoto; A. and G. Nelson of Coffman, Gus Schenicke and Carl Nelson of Coffman and one has slipped our notes. The minister and choir called on us for a few minutes.
