MRS. HENRY KRUSE

Mrs. Henry Kruse, who has suffered for years from cancer, was buried from the Presbyterian church on October 2, 1921 near her son in the Ft. Calhoun, Nebr. cemetery.

She was born in Germany October 13, 1864, came to America in 1894, and was married to Henry Kruse on March 11, 1894, and was the mother of two sons, Paul and Harry. Harry died in 1898.

In all the years the family lived on the farm the neighbors tell us she was a good wife and mother and highly respected by all, and it was with much regret they saw her brought to Ft. Calhoun for closer medical attendance last year.

For some time before her death her son, Paul, and Miss Frieda M. Lonergan of Bennington were to be married on a certain date, and for days and weeks the mother’s prayer was to be able to see the ceremony, and her dying request was that the date be not changed by her demise, so the wedding occurred on the appointed time.

Rev. Frank of the Presbyterian church officiated at the funeral. We did not get to the services, but learn that the anthems were sung and pallbearers selected from those who had known and respected her for years.
