Obituary - George W. Montgomery was born August 6, 1844 at Jacksonville, Ill., and died at Herman, Nebr. September 24, 1922, aged 78 years, one month and 18 days. He was married to Miss Anna Hugleman in 1868. To this union were born nine children, three of whom survive him. They are Earl of Tilden, Nebr.; Roy of Fairborn, Nebr.; and Mrs. Rose Lowe of Herman. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers, Hardin of Marysville, Ill. and Frank of Louisville, Ky., and one sister, Emma, who is a missionary in Shanghai, China. His wife passed away December 28, 1890. The funeral was held from the home of Huit Lowe on Monday afternoon, Sept. 25. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. George Lowe, Mrs. J. M. Brewster, Charles Gray and Fred Robertson, Mrs. E. P. Hanson accompanying them. The service was read by Rev. W. A. Bowden. Interment was made in the Herman cemetery.
