FUNERAL OF RELATIVE HELD AT FRED WOLTJE HOME

Last Sunday afternoon at two o’clock the funeral of Mrs. Katie Woltje, wife of Henry Woltje, was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Woltje in this city, and was attended by a large number of friends, Rev. W. H. Underwood officiating at the obsequies.

Mrs. Woltje, who lived in Kansas, spent two months with her husband’s relatives in Blair this summer and two months ago she was taken to the University hospital in Omaha where she submitted to an operation, and she passed away last Thursday morning at that institution.

Deceased was 45 years of age and was a lady of many Christian virtues. She leaves no children, but is survived by her father, C. W. Taylor of Fremont; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Webbert of Kearney and a half sister, Mrs. Howard Evans of Fremont. Mr. Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Webbert and Mr. and Mrs. Evans were present at the funeral, and a friend, Mrs. Georgia Fry of Omaha was also present. Burial took place in the cemetery at Blair. The sympathy of many friends is extended.
