Chris Schmidt received a telephone message this afternoon that Chas. Selleck had passed away at his home in Omaha. Mr. Selleck was a former resident of Blair, having moved here from his farm just south of Herman about forty years ago. He moved to Omaha several years ago, but was a frequent visitor in this city. Mr. Selleck was born in Norwalk, Connecticut November 2, 1829, and came to Washington county in 1856, and settling near Herman, where he was one of the first land owners.
