Age 64, of Burgettstown. Died in UPMC Shadyside. She was born in Tachikawa, Japan, a daughter of Shelton C. Dial and Judy Tsuruoka Dial of Bellevue. She grew up in Bellevue and graduated from Bellevue High School and attended Creighton University in Omaha. She entered the United States Army and graduated from Walter Reed Army Institute of Nursing, Washington, D.C. Following her Army service she entered the United States Air Force, after 23 years of total service, LT. Col. Dial retired in 1994. June was Lutheran and with her husband, Rev. Peter Suwak, was involved with pastoral work and ran youth programs for several churches. She was also involved with the mentor program in Accident, MD, where her husband was serving as Pastor Lt. Col. Ret. Dail was a member of the American Legion.

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother, are 3 brothers: Bill Dial of Dallas, George Dial (fiancée, Sharon McCoy) of Papillion, and Michael (Kris) Dial of Louisville, NE; three sisters-in-law: Janet Dial, of Lincoln; Patricia Suwak, of Washington, and Penny Suwak (Michael Dufalla), of Washington; a sister-in-life, Sherry Mason; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her father are two brothers: Wayne and Roy Dial.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, February 3, 2018, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 102 N. Main St., Accident, MD 21520 with Bishop Matthew Riegle officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mclivaine-Speakman Funeral Home, Ltd., Robert Mclivaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
