MILITARY RITES HELD FOR WM. SCHMIDT AT TEKAMAH

Mr. Wm. E. Schmidt of Tekamah died suddenly on March 9th and funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 12th at the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah at 10 A.M.

He was born to Mr. and Mrs. Claus F. Schmidt at Blair on October 23, 1899 and was 69 years of age. He grew to young manhood in Washington County and moved to the Arizona Community in 1919. For the past 20 years he resided in Tekamah. Having served in the Armed Forces in World War II, he was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors are three brothers, Chris, Allen and Fred and a sister, Mrs. Fred Saltzman (Kate) all of Tekamah, and a number of cousins in Blair.

Military rites were conducted at the grave and burial was in the Tekamah Cemetery.
