Buried in Fort Calhoun Cemetery

Printed in the May 3, 1900 Pilot

Peter Alexander Vanzago was born in Italy 54 years ago and came to America 23 years ago, but resided in Nebraska eighteen years and on his farm one mile from Coffman Station eight years, was the father of eight children, seven of whom and his wife survive. He was a quiet, home loving and industrious man and was sick a long time. His neighbors respected him so highly that in spite of bad roads and busy season they nearly all came by to pay their last respects. The funeral services were held at the house by the writer and the body placed in Ft. Calhoun cemetery. The Coffman Sunday school choir kindly furnished the music at house and grave.
