RON LARSEN BURIED IN SEATTLE

Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Larsen are in Seattle, Washington to attend the funeral of their son, Mr. Ron Larsen, who was killed in an airplane crash at Alton, Illinois on Saturday.

Mr. Larsen was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam and was shot down and in the swamp for two days before being rescued. He has been teaching Vocational Training in the Seattle Schools since his discharge. On February 1st he became an employee of a company in Seattle which ferried modified planes. At the time of his death, he was flying one of these planes to an eastern destination. He was within ¾ of a mile of the Alton, Illinois Airport.

His wife had accompanied him to Denver.

Only last February he stopped in Blair for a short visit with his parents.

Survivors besides his wife, Cheri in Seattle, are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Larsen of Blair, a sister, Mrs. Leo Jones (Donna) of Camas, Washington; a brother, Clyde Larsen Jr. with T.W.A. in Saudia, Arabia; aunts: Mrs. Helen Svendgard, Mrs. A.C. Andersen, Mrs. Kelly Ryan and uncle, J. Merton Kuhr.

Funeral services were held today (Thursday) in Seattle.
