Olga Darlene (Hansen) Boock, 86, of Blair, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at Crowell Home in Blair.

Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 24, at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Olga Darlene Hansen was born Sept. 25, 1925, in Gretna to Christian W. and Amelia T. (Larsen) Hansen. She attended school in Kennard and graduated from Kennard High School in 1943.

On Feb. 3, 1944, she married Otto J. Boock in Omaha. They lived in the Kennard, Blair and Herman areas until moving to Fremont in 1974. Mrs. Boock moved to Blair in 2003, following the death of her husband.

She worked at Paxton-Gallager in Omaha as a key punch operator. In 1961, she began her career as a public official, first working in the Washington County Clerk's office before becoming the Washington County Deputy Assessor. In 1970, she was hired as the Dodge County Deputy Assessor and, in 1974, was elected as the Dodge County Assessor, a position she held until her retirement in 1990.

She was a member of the Fremont Eagles Camping Club, serving as secretary of the club for several years; a member of the Fremont Fraternal Order of Eagles 200 Auxiliary; a member of the Nebraska State Assessors Association, serving as president of the group; and was an American Red Cross volunteer at Merrick Manor in Fremont.

She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, dancing and spending the winter months in Arizona in their motor home.

She is survived by he daughters and son-in-law, Janelle Crone of Kennard and Debbie and Dale Olson of Blair; grandchildren, Scott and Todd Crone, Kiley and husband, Kevin Frana, and Jody Olson; six great-grandchildren, Christy and husband, Sir Rodeheaver, Cody Crone, Wyatt Olson, Austin, Hayden and Brecken Frana; two great-great-grandchildren, Devyn and Reece Rodeheaver; sister, Lola Rahlfs of Blair and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Troy Charles Crone; four sisters, Pearl Prichard, Bertha Hall, Ruth Konvalin and Hazel Nussrallah; and two brothers, Clyde and Melvin Hansen.
