Samuel Stevenson, aged 24 years, of 1016 South Tenth street, died yesterday at St. Joseph’s hospital of pneumonia. For some time this man has been a sufferer from lung trouble, and was pardoned from a term in the penitentiary about one year ago, where he was serving a sentence on attempted rape on the person of a young lady in the city. Last Friday night he became violently insane at his home, and tried to hang himself to a hanging lamp fixture.
