MRS. A. JENSEN DIED EARLY LAST FRIDAY

PASSED AWAY SHORTLY AFTER BIRTH OF HER FIFTH CHILD

Mrs. Albert Jensen of Kennard, mother of five, died at Blair Hospital early last Friday morning, June 11, shortly after giving birth to a baby son. For some time she had not been well but her condition made medical attention difficult; death came as the result of internal hemorrhage.

Her untimely passing was a severe shock to all who knew her, and many are the friends who will remember her sociable character. Especially touched by the tragedy of her death are her husband and their children, and other members of her family.

Mrs. Jensen, the former Anna Elizabeth Nelson, was born on September 30, 1909, to Peter J. Nelson of the Kennard vicinity. Here she grew up and made her home until her marriage to Albert T. Jensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jensen of Kennard, on December 29, 1926. Since then they had farmed in the Kennard vicinity, three years near Herman, and for the past two years on a farm six miles northwest of Blair.

To their wedlock were born five children, Phyllis, 14; Harold, 12; Corrine, 10; Robert, 3; and the newborn infant. Also surviving besides the bereaved husband and the children are the father and stepmother, a sister, Mrs. Cora Mortensen of Omaha; and four brothers, James of San Pedro, California; Albert of Arlington; Fred of Bennington; and Theodore of Omaha. Two sisters, a brother and her mother preceded her in death.

Mrs. Jensen was baptized and later confirmed in the Emmaus Lutheran Church of Kennard, of which she remained a member until her death. She also was an active member of the Dorcas Ladies Society of the same church.

Funeral services were held on Pentecost Sunday, June 13, at 2 o'clock at the Emmaus Lutheran Church of Kennard with the pastor, Rev. P.C. Jensen, in charge. Interment was made in the Kennard Cemetery.
