RITES AT HERMAN FOR MR. BELVILLE

ONE-TIME COUNTIAN, 90, DIED IN CALIFORNIA JAN. 16; RITES FRIDAY

Samuel J. Belville, 90, one-time Herman resident, died Jan. 16 in Los Angeles.

Services were held there last Wednesday, after which the body was sent to Herman. The Rev. Sidney L. McCaig of Blair’s First Methodist Church officiated at further rites, held at the Baptist Church in Herman Friday afternoon. Interment followed in Herman Cemetery.

Native of Ohio, Mr. Belville was born in 1857. He came to Nebraska with his parents in pioneer days, and spent most of his life near Herman. His wife died a number of years ago.

Three daughters and six sons survive.
