Jim Sumey, Omaha, passed away March 12, 2021. He was born May 7, 1958, in Bloomington, Ill. Jim’s love for his grandchildren could be seen from miles away. He loved spending time with them, especially fishing. Jim was known to be a “can do” kind of guy. He was great at building and repairing anything imaginable from boats and cars, to guns and fishing reels, he could do it all. Jim’s biggest passion was fishing, loved to talk about it all the time, and get kids involved in the sport.

Jim is survived by his mother Dorothy Sumey (Mau), sister Virginia Crowe (Sumey), son Wyatt (Kristen) Sumey, and grandchildren, Rhett, Weston, and Payton Sumey.

Funeral Service: A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 27 at the American Legion, in Blair from 2-5 p.m.
