MRS. FRANK ACKERMAN OF BLAIR IS DEAD; CATHOLIC FUNERAL PLANNED

Mrs. Frank Ackerman, 80-year-old Blair woman, died unexpectedly Sunday morning at her home, 415 North Walker Ave.

The body of Mrs. Ackerman has been taken to Campbell Mortuary. Plans are for the rosary to be recited there tonight (Thursday) at 8 o’clock. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward C. O’Donnell is to officiate, and interment will follow in Holy Cross cemetery here.

Mrs. Ackerman’s husband, who died May 27, 2953, was a painter here for many years. The Ackermans, married at Petersburg, Nebraska in 1901, came to Blair in 1917. Both were natives of Germany.

She was born May 23, 1876 as Rosa Theresa Vogt, and came to America in 1896.

Surviving Mrs. Ackerman are a son, Gus Ackerman of Baltimore, Md., and a daughter, Mrs. Agnes Gilliland of Blair. A daughter, Frances, died in infancy. There are five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a brother, Jake Vogt of Dalton, Nebr. and two sisters, Sister M. Octavia, a nun residing at Racine, Wis., and Mrs. Amelia Ackerman of Petersburg, Nebr.
