ED JOHNSON, 83, DIES AT FREMONT

Edward Johnson, 83 years of age, passed away at Fremont after being in failing health several years. Survivors include his wife, Marie, two sons, Willard of Alliance, Nebraska and Donald, of LaHabra, California, and one daughter, Mrs. Louis Tank, of Fremont. There are ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A brother, Chris Johnson, and a sister, Hannah Johnson, both of Blair, also survive.

Edward Johnson was born December 23, 1877 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus C. Johnson. The family moved to a farm northwest of Fremont in 1889. Edward Johnson married Marie Heinricks, February 1, 1905 in Blair and besides being engaged in farming near Blair and Fremont, Mr. Johnson was an employee of the Lutheran Publishing House for eighteen years.

Services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church in Fremont, with burial to follow in the Bluffs Cemetery. There is a Memorial Fund to the Fremont First Lutheran Church. The Lattin & Dugan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
