Shelby L. Miller age 69, of Fremont passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

Shelby was born June 9, 1951, in Shelbyville, Indiana, to Robert and Gladys Plugge. He attended and graduated from Arlington High School in 1969. Following high school, he enlisted into the US Army, where he served in the Vietnam War from July 30, 1969 to March 3, 1971. Shelby worked various jobs where he was a jack of all trades and master of none!

Shelby met and married Nancy Lowther on May 30, 1981, in Fontanelle. Shelby loved working in his yard and being outside. Shelby was very passionate about being a boyscout master, for Troop 119 in Fremont. He enjoyed watching football and being with his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Carla, siblings Judy, Ramona, Shirley, brother-in-law Roger and Bob Lowther.

Survived by his wife Nancy, children Ryan Miller, Carrie (Rusty) Meyer, Kelly (Matt) Mitchell, siblings Dawn (Michael) Willis, Mike Plugge, grandchildren Billy, Jayvier, Kirstyn, Connor, Christy, Neveah, Greyson, and many other family and friends.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Omaha National Cemetery at 11AM. Military Honors.
