Richard E. Jensen, age 87 of Omaha, passed away June 25, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Hillside Christian Church in Blair. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services beginning at 10 a.m.. Graveside services will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.

Richard was born on April 19, 1934, in Blair, the son of Alfred and Ella Jensen. He graduated from Blair High School in 1951. After graduation he served in the U.S. Army. He received his bachelor’s degree from Dana College. In 1954, he was united in marriage to Ilene Petersen. To this union four children were born.

Richard was employed for much of his career at Central States Health and Life Insurance as Vice President of Accounting. After enjoying 46 years of marriage, Ilene passed away in 1995. In 1999, Richard married Joyce Beachler and the couple resided in Lincoln. After Joyce’s passing, Richard returned to Omaha to be closer to his children. Richard was an avid fan of the Dodgers, enjoyed camping, fishing, tending to his flowers, playing cards and tennis and attending his children’s, grandchildren’s, and great grandchildren’s activities.

Richard is survived by his children, Deanna (Don) Marick, Pam Push, Mark (Christine) Jensen, and Sheri Stark; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and brother Robert (Mary Ann) Jensen.

He was preceded in death by his wives Ilene Jensen and Joyce Beachler-Jensen; sisters, Odile Burchette, Virginia Curley, and Nancy Curley; and son-in-law Bob Push.
