John J. Leehy IV, 39, of Louisville, KY, passed away Saturday July 3, 2021. A long-time member of St. Edward Catholic Church, John was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, a passionate sports fan and an avid outdoorsman. John enjoyed a successful 15-year career in the payment processing and ATM management business.

A loving son, brother and friend, John is survived by his parents John and Terri Leehy; brother, Jordan Leehy; sister, Chelsea Leehy; grandfather, John (Jack) Leehy Jr.; and grandparents, Donald and Wanda Keller. John leaves behind a large and loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many true and wonderful friends.

In lieu of a traditional visitation, there will be a “Gathering of Friends and Family” on Friday evening, July 9th, hosted at the Leehy Family Farm located at 2780 Hochstrasser Rd, Fisherville, KY 40023. The event is summer casual and will be held from 7:00 – 9:30 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 10th at 11:00 AM, at St. Edward Catholic Church, 9608 Sue Helen Dr., Jeffersontown, KY. In the hour proceeding the funeral, there will be a final viewing in the gathering space at the church. Services will be streamed live at “https://www.facebook.com/StEdwardCatholicChurchjtown”

On Tuesday, July 13th John will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair, Nebraska. Visitation will be held that morning from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home at 444 S. 17th Street, Blair, Nebraska, followed by the Rosary at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church located at 2005 Davis Drive. Burial service will be at noon with a luncheon to follow.
