CAROLINE M.B. JENSEN, 93

Former Arlington resident Caroline M.B. Jensen, 93, of Fremont, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at Nye Point Health & Rehab in Fremont.

Memorial services are 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, north of Arlington.

Caroline M.B. Laaker was born Aug. 28, 1914, in Arlington to William and Lena (Schiermeier) Laaker.

She was raised in Arlington and attended country school there.

On March 15, 1942, she married Harold Echtenkamp in Seattle, Wash. The couple moved back to Arlington in 1947.

She worked at Campbell Soup Company in Fremont, Bob's Place in Arlington, and the Fransenburg Grocery Store in Arlington.

After her husband's death in Nov. 1960, she moved to Blair in 1968. On Aug. 28, 1985, she married Arthur Jensen in Blair. He preceded her in death in August 1990.

Mrs. Jensen was a former member of First Lutheran Church in Blair, the Eagles Auxiliary in Blair, and Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.

She is survived by her daughters, Janie Mengedoht of Fremont and Barbara Clapper of Arlington; a brother, Obert Laaker of Fremont; seven grandchildrfen and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Alvina Thompson and Malinda Laaker; brothers, lawrence and Leonard Laaker and three infant brothers; half-sisters, Annie Dickmeyer and Emma Stork; half-brothers, Henry, Bill and Albert Laaker; son-in-law, Victor Mengedoht.

A memorial in her name will be established by her family.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.

(Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, north of Arlington, also known as "God's Acre.")
