JoAnn Rose Roberts, age 85, of Fremont, entered into eternal rest on Sept. 8, 2021, at Crowell Home in Blair.

JoAnn was born May 19, 1936, in Atlantic, Iowa, to Ambrose Andersen and Helga (Rasmussen) Andersen. The family lived in Atlantic, Iowa, before moving to Fremont in 1944.

She graduated from Fremont High School in 1954. JoAnn married Carl E. Roberts in April 1978 and they resided in Fremont until Carl passed away on Nov. 12, 2018.

JoAnn was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and wife. Her family and friends will cherish the loving memories of such a kind soul.

She was a member of several social groups and dedicated many years to assisting the elderly with home health care.

JoAnn is survived by her brother, Lyle Andersen; sons, Ronald Johnson, Carl Roberts Jr., William Roberts, Danny Roberts; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a husband; and a son.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
