LeRoy Bisbee, 88, Died Friday. Funeral Tuesday

LeRoy Bisbee, 88 years of age, Arlington, a lifetime resident of Washington County, died at his home late Friday evening.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Arlington Congregational Church.

Mr. Bisbee is survived by his wife, Mabel; son, William, of Arlington; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews in Texas and California.

Mr. Bisbee was born June 22, 1874 at Fontanelle, the youngest son of Rev. and Mrs. Charles G. Bisbee.

When he was four years of age his parents moved to the farm north of Arlington, where he grew up and lived the remainder of his life.

He was married August 11, 1902 to Mabel Chamberlain of Blair.

Mr. Bisbee was active in the Arlington community. He served on the school board for many years and also the election board. He was made deacon emeritus of his church and was a 50-year member of the American Bible Society. He was a historian and was often consulted for his knowledge and information of both local and National history.

The Reckmeyer funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
