Charles A. Jenson Died in Oregon

Funeral services for Charles Albert Jenson were conducted from Peake Memorial Chapel in Milwaukie, Ore., on Saturday, May 25, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Lloyd Roholt, of Milwaukie Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was at Greencrest Cemetery at Sheridan, Ore.

Mr. Jenson, a resident of 1745 33rd St. Milwaukie, for the past 17 years, died at his home May 21. He was born April 2, 1877 at Silver Creek, Nebr.

Mr. Jenson was retired blacksmith. Before going to South Dakota in 1910, he lived in Nebraska and North Dakota. He homesteaded in northwest South Dakota where he farmed. The family moved to Oregon in 1939.

He was a veteran of Army service in World War 1 and was a member of WWI Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Modern Woodsman of America.

Survivors include six sons, Charles A. of Nampa, Ida., Edwin A. of Olympia, Wash., Elwin L. of Seattle, Wash., Martin W. of Milwaukie, Ore., Dale of Portland, Ore., and Clarence A. of Morristown S.D.; three daughters, Gladys Bate of Willamina, Ore., Maggie Locken of Laramie, Wyo., and Clara Burnham of Rufus, Ore.; a brother, Clair Jenson of Tekamah Nebr.; a sister Claressa Porter of Blair, Nebr.; 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
