CHRIS JENSEN, 81

Chris Jensen, 81, died Friday, Sept. 30, 1988, at the Skilled Care Center at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Oct. 4 at the Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

Mr. Jensen was born on Sept. 3, 1907 as the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jensen of Council Bluffs. His parents were long-time residents of Blair.

Mr. Jensen lived in Spencer and was employed by a railroad before moving to Memphis. He also worked at the Mead Ordnance Plant. He attended barber school and practiced as a barber in several northeastern Nebraska communities. After his retirement he settled in Fremont.

Mr. Jensen belonged to the First Lutheran Church. He was united in marriage to Fredericka Erlenbusch on April 1, 1934, at Lynch. He is survived by his wife.

Other survivors include one son, Stan of Lawton, O.; one daughter, Shirley Luther of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is survived by four brothers, Kai of Blair, Neils, of Wymore; Albert of Tacoma, Wa.; and Woodrow of Omaha. Cbhris Jensen is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ann Parcher of Blair and Marie (Mrs. Warren) Wheatley of Wymore.

The Rev. Robert P. Hansen officiated the service and burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with the First Lutheran Church of Fremont.
