Margaret Ann Gilliland was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away Sunday Oct. 31, 2021, at the age of 80, in Tampa, Fla.

qa People may remember Margaret from one of the phases/locations in her life. She was born and raised in Iowa, raised her family in Nebraska, empty nested in Texas, and retired in Florida. The empty nesting phase may be a bit of a misnomer as she spent much of that time as a “Pomer-mom”; mom to a Pomeranian dog named Tiffany, that she adored. In retirement she enjoyed playing bingo and dominos.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Marie More; husband, George Gilliland; infant son, David Gilliland; and youngest daughter, Sandi May (Alex). She is survived by her son; Duane Gilliland (Amy); daughters, Pam Kendrick and Debbie Waguespack (Royal); her sisters, Jean Ranum and Elizabeth Larsen (Dale). Her extensive family includes Pam’s son, Brian Miller (Bernadette) and their kids Jack, Caleb, Mackenzie; Pam’s son, Jamie Miller and his kids Cooper and Parker; Debbie’s daughter, Cheryl Robinson (Anthony) and their kids Lily and Violet; Debbie’s daughter, Lisa Rodriguez and her kids Nevaeh, Alivia, and Rhys; Debbie and Royal’s daughter, Christen King (Robert) and their kids T.J., Sam, and Emily; Debbie and Royal’s, daughter Lacey; Debbie and Royal’s sons, Kevin, Brian, and Michael.

A private memorial service will be held in Tampa on Saturday Nov. 13, 2021.
