Ellen May Wesemann, age 92, passed away November 17, 2021. Services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 10:30 AM at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Visitation will be held Friday, November 26 from 6 to 8 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Ellen May (Cramer) Wesemann was born on January 23, 1929, to Chris and Deborah Cramer in Omaha, Nebraska, where her parents operated a small dairy farm before their retirement. She attended McCurdle grade school in Omaha and graduated from Underwood High School which was located at 78th and Underwood Avenue in Omaha before its demolition in the 1970’s. Ellen attended Van Sant School of Business after high school. After business school she worked in the administrative office of Omaha Public Schools before her marriage to Henry Wesemann on August 27, 1954. Their union brought forth two daughters, Sharon Ellen and Gail Debra. Later came the blessing of grandchildren: Paul Mooter, Christopher Mooter and Mary Ellen Wilson.

Ellen was active in the women’s circle at Emmaus, church choir and the Kennard Legion Auxiliary. For pastime, she played cards at the local senior centers, enjoyed the company of her grandchildren, played old time pieces on her piano, and tinkered with the computer.

Ellen is preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, brother Chris Cramer Jr., sister Rose Rosacker, and son-in-law David Mooter. She is survived by her children: Sharon Appleby and Gail Mooter; grandchildren: Paul Henry Mooter, Christopher John Mooter and Mary Ellen (Derek) Wilson.

Memorials may be directed to Emmaus Lutheran Church, Mary Ruth Circle.
